The Malcontents were really important during the Trustee period. They would complain about everything from land placement, alcohol privileges, and the most important, slavery. The Malcontents did not accept the Trustees' rules and regulations, and tried to find ways around them. The complaining kept going on for about ten years, and finally after all the arguing the Trustees made slavery legal, and ended restrictions on land ownership.
