The Salzburgers were Germans who had been picked to settle in Georgia because of Kind George II. They settled in a town called Ebenezer. They hated the place! It was really sticky and swampy, and had poor water. The Salzburgers then decided to relocate to a better location, New Ebenezer. After settling into this new place, they became very successful colonists in the whole of Georgia.
