The Woodland Indians were an important Native American Tribe. Out of all the tribes, this one was known for being the most technological advanced. They invented the bow and arrow for hunting. They mainly hunted the white-tailed deer. If they weren't eating deer, they would eat corn. The Woodlands were very wise because they decided to use pottery as a resource to store goods. An interesting fact about this tribe is that they were the first people to use and experience horticulture. Horticulture is the art of practice of garden cultivation and management. Where did they live? They would live in small villages and their little 'huts' would be made of wood, leaves, and bark.
