The Blue Ridge Mountains contain Georgia's highest peak, Brasstown Bald. It also has the highest amount of rainfall in all of Georgia. They are part of the Appalachian Highlands which stretch from New York to Alabama. The mountains are a picture of sandy loam and clay. Overall, these mountains are very important to Georgia.
